The coating types currently used for PPGI/PPGL/PPAL steel coils include PE, HDP, PVDF, SMP, acrylic, PVC, etc.
polyethylene
PE coated color-coated steel plates have good adhesion, are easy to process and form, and are relatively cheap. However, its UV resistance and chalking resistance are relatively low. PE color-coated steel plates can be used for roofs of ordinary civil buildings.
SMP
SMP steel plates have better durability and cost than PE coatings. Silicone is inferior to PE in terms of adhesion to materials and processing forms.
High Durability Polyester (HDP)
Better than ordinary SMP paint, outdoor weather resistance reaches 16 years. It has high flexibility and weather resistance.
PVC
PVC coating has good chemical resistance and water resistance. The coating is relatively thick and can protect the substrate well.
PVC coatings are rarely used because they pollute the environment.
Polyvinylidene fluoride
PVDF coating has good color retention and corrosion resistance. The highest grade among PPGI sheet coatings for construction
