Galvanized steel sheets can be divided into the following categories according to production and processing methods.

① Hot-dip galvanized steel sheet. The thin steel sheet is dipped into a molten zinc bath to make a thin steel sheet with a layer of zinc adhering to its surface. At present, the main use of continuous galvanizing process, that is, the rolls of steel continuously dipped in the molten zinc bath made of galvanized steel.

② Alloyed galvanized steel sheet. This type of steel is also manufactured by the hot dipping method, but immediately after leaving the bath, it is heated to about 500°C to produce an alloyed film of zinc and iron. This type of galvanized steel has good paint adhesion and weldability.

③ Electro-galvanized steel sheet. This galvanized steel sheet is manufactured by electroplating method with good processability. However, the coating is thin and the corrosion resistance is not as good as that of galvanized steel by the hot dip method.

④Single-sided galvanized and double-sided poorly galvanized steel sheets. Single-sided galvanized steel sheet, i.e., a product that is galvanized on one side only. It has better adaptability than double-sided galvanized steel in terms of welding, painting, rustproof treatment and processing. To overcome the shortcomings of uncoated zinc on one side, there is another type of galvanized steel coated with a thin layer of zinc on the other side, i.e. double-sided differential galvanized steel.

⑤ Alloy, composite galvanized steel sheet. It is made of zinc and other metals such as lead, zinc made of alloy or even composite plating into the steel plate. This steel sheet has both excellent rust resistance and good coating properties.

In addition to the above five, there are also colored galvanized steel sheets, printed and painted galvanized steel sheets, polyvinyl chloride laminated galvanized steel sheets, etc. However, the most commonly used is still hot-dipped galvanized steel.
