Cold-rolled steel is low-carbon hot-rolled steel that has been rolled at room temperature, below its recrystallization temperature. The steel is then cleaned of oxide scale and finished in a specific series of rolling to just over the desired thickness, heating to controlled temperatures, and final rolling to the desired thickness.

Cold rolled steel is hot-rolled steel that has been cleaned of iron oxide scale (pickled) and reduced to a specific thickness through a series of rolling stands (tandem mill) or passed back and forth through a reversing rolling mill. The steel can be heated to controlled temperatures (annealing) depending on mechanical property requirements, and final rolled to the desired thickness.

Galvanized refers to a surface treatment technology that coats a layer of zinc on the surface of metals, alloys or other materials for aesthetics and rust prevention. The main methods used are hot-dip galvanizing and electro-galvanizing. It prevents corrosion of steel, and its protective performance is closely related to the thickness of the coating.

Galvanized Steel Sheet in Coil (GI) is produced by passing the Full Hard sheet which has undergone the acid washing process and rolling process through the zinc pot, thereby applying zinc film to the surface. It has excellent corrosion resistance, paintability, and workability due to Zinc’s characteristics.

The hot plate is divided into the pickling plate and the unpickling plate. The surface of the pickling plate becomes the normal metal color because of pickling, but the surface of the unsold-rolled plate is not as high as that of the cold-rolled plate, or the existence of ferrosoferric oxide layer, colloquially it is fire-roasted, and if the storage environment is not good, usually with a little embroidery.

Cold rolled coil could supply better control of thickness, shape, width, surface finish, and other special quality features that compliment the emerging need for highly engineered end uses. Take construction projets for example: steel sheds, industrial buildings, and garages.

SS400 zinc Cold Rolled Steel Coil refers to a steel strip that is directly rolled into a certain thickness with a roll at room temperature and rolled into a whole coil with a coiler. Compared with hot-rolled coils, cold-rolled coils have a brighter surface and higher finish, but will generate more internal stress and are often annealed after cold-rolling.
