This 1000kva dry-type transformer was shipped to South Africa on March 5. The transformer has a high voltage of 11kV and a low voltage of 0.33 kV. This transformer is equipped with many fans. When the winding reaches a certain temperature, the wind will be turned on to dissipate heat. When the temperature drops to a certain level, the fan automatically turns off. The windings of this dry-type transformer are made of aluminum, which is relatively cheap compared to copper windings. This dry type transformer has an IP20 enclosure to protect the transformer from damage.
